Illinois Adversity 14 Open May 19th, 2012
14 Purple played in the Illinois Adversity 14 Open on Saturday May 19th, 2012. 14 Purple went 4W-0L in matches and 8W-0L in sets/games to win the tournament. This is the 7th tournament win of the season for 14 Purple. Congratulations on another tournament victory!!!
Central Zone Finale 14O/15/16 May 5th, 2012 thru May 6th, 2012
Central Zone Finale 14O/15/16 May 5th - 6th, 2012
14 Purple traveled to the Sky High Volleyball Facility in Crystal Lake, IL to participate in 14O/15's/16's tournament on May 5th and May 6th. Having only 9 players for this tournament, 14 Purple played extremely well and showed that they can compete and win against bigger teams. 14 Purple never gave up in any match and showed the other teams that it's not the size of the player, but the size of their heart that matters. On the first day of competition, 14 Purple took second in their pool losing to Sky High 16 Red (USAV American Division Qualifier) in an exciting match, which put 14 Purple into the Gold Bracket for the second day. On the second day of competition, 14 Purple also played very well. They lost their first match to a very good Sky High 16 Blue team, which put 14 Purple into the lower half of the Gold Bracket. 14 Purple finished the tournament strong beating Sky High 14 Black in another very exciting three set match. Being one of only three 14's teams in the tournament, 14 Purple finished the highest of all the 14's teams in the tournament. Way to play together as a team this past weekend. Great job ladies.
MN Northern Lights National Qualifier April 20th, 2012 thru April 22nd, 2012
WI Jr’s Challenge (15’s Level) Sunday April 15th, 2012 14 Purple played in the WI Jr’s Challenge II (15’s Level) on Sunday April 15th, 2012 going un-defeated for the tournament to win their 6th tournament of the season. 14 Purple went 5W-0L in matches and 10W-0L in sets/games. Everyone played with great consistency and confidence. Excellent defense and offense throughout every match. Congratulations on another tournament victory!
Badger Region Championships 2012 – Frontier Airlines Center Milwaukee, WI
14 Purple played in the Badger Region Championships 14 Open Tournament on March 31st, 2012 and April 1st, 2012. 14 Purple went 4W-3L in matches and finished 8th overall. The team played hard and fought but unfortunately the ball didn’t bounce our way. The tournament was a very good learning experience for the team. 14 Purple will regroup and prepare for their next tournament on April 15th, 2012.
Badger Region National Qualifier 3/11/2012:
14 Purple played in the Badger Region National Qualifier Tournament at Kettle Moraine High School in Whales, WI on Sunday March 11th, 2012. 14 Purple went un-defeated throughout the tournament and earned their National Bid for the USAV Junior Girls National Championships in Columbus, OH. In the semi-finals, 14 Purple played a very good GForce 14 Select team. Having lost the first set/game to Gforce 14 Select, 14 Purple showed true heart and determination and came back very strong and confident to win the match. Great energy and excitement from every player. Great support from the parents and 16 Purple team. Congratulations to 14 Purple on earning their National Bid!!!
14 Purple played in the Whitewater Open 15’s on Saturday March 3rd, 2012. They tied for 3rd losing in the semi-finals to Capital 15 Navy. 14 Purple played pretty well having multiple players play different positions due to an injured player. Having lost their first match of the season, 14 Purple will look to bounce back and get ready to compete at the in-state Qualifier.

Having received their first set/game loss of the season in the 2nd set/game of the semi-finals to a very competitive Sun Setters 14 Black team, 14 Purple came out very strong and determined the third and final set/game of the semi-finals and pulled off a very impressive third set/game victory to win the match. Playing the tournament with only nine players due to illness, the girls rallied together and played exceptional. Strong serving and passing throughout the tournament by all players. Continue the impressive tournament victory run!!!
