15 Black took 3rd place at the Junior Challenge in Pleasant Prairie on Sunday with a 4-2 record. After advancing to the gold round with a 2-1 record in pool play, 15 Black won their quarterfinal match against Milwaukee Inferno. They then lost to eventual tournament champion G-Force 15-Select in the semifinals. The ladies bounced back to win the 3rd place match against the Midwest Penguins. This match was a real test of endurance, as each team was playing in their 3rd consecutive match without a break. Great job, ladies!
15 Black went 5-0 while winning the Block Party Bash on Saturday. Wiping away the disappointment of a 2nd place finish in their last tournament, the ladies dominated Western Elite 15's in the Championship match, winning 25-19 and 25-16. Sound defense, intelligent shot making, great hustle, and enthusiam carried the team to the Gold Medal. Great job, ladies!!
